Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I have been inspired with some fantastic gift ideas that I'm so excited to share with you!
I think flowers are the loveliest. And I don't know many girls who would disagree. There are many creative ways to gift flowers- read on to see my creative ideas for what to treat your Valentine to this February.
Bouquet of Flowers-- with a Twist!
Category 1: if your sweetheart is a book lover--
- Find books you think she’ll like with flowers in the title and/or on the cover.
- ex. Dandelion Wine, Daisy Miller, or Daisy Jones and the Six, White Oleander, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Lilac Girls, etc.
- Bonus points if you can wrap them in brown craft paper like a real bouquet of flowers!
Also for book lovers (unrelated to flowers):
- Find a special copy of a book they love. A classic romance like Pride and Prejudice. Or a modern novel they love in a hardback special edition.
Gilded gold leaf elements are superior and will make your selection pop and shine! Don't forget to wrap your gift and add a bow. The details count! Special kudos if you tie a flower in the bow on top.
- If she has an ereader, find a cute cover or case you think she’ll love. Make sure it matches the kind of ereader/version she has (kindle, nook, etc.)
- If she doesn’t have an ereader, that can also be part of this gift!
-
Find some accessories for her to put on her new case. She’s gotta add personality!
- get vinyl stickers that you think she’d like. You can shop my collection of stickers here!
- Also you can search for stickers from her favorite book series or genre or stickers representing her favorite hobbies or interests or stickers representing a trip you went on together or a memory you share!
-also get a pop socket or MagSafe grip so she can more easily hold her reader (if she likes Harry Potter, or to go with the flower theme, or minimalist Valentine) - Personally, I really like this cute pancake with syrup and heart butter! - - Bonus points if you plan a date where you guys decorate your ereaders together. This only works if you’re also a reader. But you could also find stickers to decorate your laptop, iPad, water bottle etc.
Round out the gift with a few extra accouterments:
- Select a special bookmark to go with the book(s)
- It can be something cute that goes with the book or something to go with her hobbies or interests.
- Also you can maybe try your hand at a handmade bookmark! The extra effort won’t go unnoticed
- For a sweet sentimental touch, get a custom photo bookmark made in the style of a Photo Booth.
- use your favorite photos of the two of you and make sure to put them in black and white. It will make a big difference!
If you want to go the extra mile, this is NEXT LEVEL!
- Find a pretty copy of YOUR favorite book. Make notes in the margins. Highlight sweet things that remind you of her or quotes and will make her smile. This will show a lot of thought, time, effort, and care.
- Wrap it up cute, maybe with a bow she can wear and the photo booth bookmark. She’s going to love it!
Category 2: Art!
A bouquet of painted flowers!
- Consider gifting an original floral painting! Obviously I have lots of floral art to choose from here! An original piece of art is so special. It's sentimental and she'll think of you every time she looks at it on her wall.
- Or find some floral art prints she’ll love. Again, I have a lot of sweet options for these as well! Coordinate a few art prints and buy some pretty or antique frames to go with them. It will be like a little gallery wall starter pack!
Category 3: Flowers, but in an elevated way
Endless bouquet of flowers!
- Purchase a flower subscription where she gets a bouquet every month! This probably wouldn't start until March, but it will be the gift that keeps on giving! Here are two flower shipment services I've heard great things about: Petal Pickers and 3 Porch Farm. You probably could also contact your local florist or plant nursery.
- If she has any property, consider getting her some seed packs for planting her own flowers. Floret Flowers is releasing their original specialty seeds on 2/6! They are beautiful and unique and would make a perfect gift. Floret Flowers also has a beautiful book about growing your own cut flower garden
- A cute watering can or special vase (this, this, or this) would be a nice addition to round out the gift!
Category 4: Miscellaneous bouquet
-
Does she love cute socks?
- find some floral socks on Etsy (this, this, or this) or Anthropologie or Free People
- Bonus points if you roll them into roses!
- Floral candle (my favorite candle or floral taper candles)
- add a candle warming lamp or a special pack of matches for an extra touch
-
Floral lotion or perfume
- this will only work if she likes floral scents. But if she does, a special lotion (like this or this) or perfume can feel like a luxurious treat
-
Is she a tea drinker?
-get a sample of a bunch of different floral teas to try (this or this). And it would be extra special to add a teapot or a tea infuser mug to go with! Also, this juice glass and these mugs are cute.
- Accessories
- anything floral to make your "bouquet of flowers" theme come through. Hair ties, floral hair bows, claw clips, necklace (I think this is cute! or this! or this birth flower necklace!), bracelet, ring (this cutie! or this! or this forget-me-not ring or a birth flower ring!) But be careful with how you wrap/present the ring 🙈💍😂
Category 5: a little more expensive bouquets of flowers
- Swarovski crystal flowers (I like these and these)
- Box flowers that last a year (shop here, here, or here)
- Handmade Glass Flowers
- Stained Glass Flowers
I hope you were inspired by some of these ideas and they get you into the spirit! I love gift giving and it can be so rewarding and fun to find the perfect gift for someone you love.
